December 2007 Hi Equifeast! My name is Alice Scull, I'm 13yrs old and my family own a Haflinger Pony. She is called Corisa, is 13yrs old and is about 14hh. In August 2007, Corisa suffered badly from gravel, and it was two and a bit weeks before she could be ridden again. Then in early September, she became lame and was out of work for over a month. During this time she became increasingly stiff and sore so that when she was rideable, it was very hard to get her going and she started to get worse, going lame each time I rode her. The vet told us to ride her lightly for a week, but we didn't see any improvements. We concentrate mainly on Dressage so this was a real problem. Corisa has a lot of potential which she showed in winning her first ever test with 65%. This meant qualifying for the Championships! In her current condition we had missed several clinics, lessons and competitions. I was completely stuck, having tried everything I know but with no effect. Then I came across your leaflet and my mum and I decided to give your Easy Mover a go! By this time I didn't know if she was ever going to improve, but I was proved wrong with Easy Mover. I saw an amazing difference in just one week as she was better than ever and moving in a whole new way! Her Dressage has improved vastly and Corisa is now achieving extended and medium trot with ease along with leg yield, shoulder-in, collected canter and turn on the forehand. She has a ton of healthy powerful muscle and due to this her jumping has moved up a level. Now I can look forward to summer 2008, with Eventing in mind. Right now though, we are getting ready for Trailblazers, Interdressage's Championship and The Pony Club Dengie Dressage League. I want to thank you so much for giving me a new brilliant pony! I will defintley be recommending you and ordering some more products soon! Thankyou so much, Alice Scull
22 December 2007 Hi Malcolm, Just got my dressage score back today, 71.43% really happy with it! Got a few 8's and judge was impressed so very pleased, Alice x
11 June 2008 Hi Malcolm, Just writing to say thank you for our new supplements and also to tell some good and bad news. The good news is that Corisa and I recently competed and completed our first One Day Event. Despite a horse breaking loose during our dressage test, we kept focus and she delivered some very good movements without any signs of difficulty or stiffness and we had some very good comments on how well she was moving. The showjumping section was 2'6 to 2'9, unfortunately we had 2 refusals, one was my fault and the other she was spooked by a car speeding down the road next to the showground which was very annoying! Otherwise she cleared the jumps in the showjumping and cross-country easily with lots of scope and impressed quite a few of the spectators. I was very pleased with her in the cross-country as the jumps were 2'8 to 3'3 and she cleared jumps which I doubt she would have ever been able to do after her gravel and stiffness last winter. I haven't got the results back yet, but I was certainly happy with her performance and have scheduled more ODE's. Corisa has also started jumping at new heights and has done over 1.10m spreads at home with ease and has jumped difficult courses of 3ft, even clearing jumps of the wrong leg or stride as the doubles never seem to fit her stride length. Double clears have now become usual to us and she won her first ever showcross as she was the only pony to go clear. Cross-Country has definitley improved - she now clears courses of 3ft to over 1m! Our Dressage has also improved, we have been placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th twice with scores consistently over 60% in Dressage and Style and Performance Qualifiers meaning that we have once again qualified for the Championships. I am sure that the products from Equifeast have improved Corisa's performance incredibly and her days after competitions are no longer full of careful lunging and stretches to make sure that she doesn't stiffen up. The bad news is that Corisa went lame about 2 weeks ago, incidently the same time we nearly run out of Equifeast! At first the family suspected stiffness or gravel again, but she has been diagnosed with bad laminitis. Luckily we caught it early so she should not be too badly affected but is going to make an impact. We have been ordered box rest and restricted grazing as the laminitis is more down to the starch in the grass than her weight. Our vet recommended that we use Equifeast after the initial treatment of painkillers etc. and said that it would probably have a very good effect on Corisa's recovery. So we are grounded at the moment, I have been advised to cancel all competitons in June and early July, as the vets don't have a clear picture of the future but I have been told that she should be fit and able to jump and compete late July onwards. I have my fingers crossed that hopefully she is going to get better soon! I haven't seen any of the pictures from our showjumping yet, but if I do then I shall send a few, Alice x
