Ezra Jeremiah and Helen Kibblewhite opperate a small yard in Notts and tell us they have seen benefits in all their horses since putting them onto WINNINGEDGE. And they are saving money! Here is there report:

Save money on feed and have happier, healthier more compliant horses

Dear Malcolm,

We have noticed a difference with every one of the 7 horses that we have on WinningEdge Gold.  The main one being the amount of hard feed we are using.  At this time of year all of our horses are clipped and usually require a substantial amount of extra hard feed to maintain a good winter condition.  This year we can say that we have halved the amount of concentrate we are having to feed and all the horses look fantastic.  We receive comments on their appearance wherever we go.  We feed good quality ad lib hay, but can say we have nearly halved our bills for concentrate feed.

There has also been an overall improvement with muscle tone and condition of coat and feet, shoes are staying on longer!  Details of each horse are attached.

The only downside is when we buy the 2 large tubs at a time it does feel expensive!  Writing this down has made me realise that in the long term we are actually saving money and have healthier happier horses!

Vertigo    18.2hh    5yr old     Warmblood

This horse just doesn't stop growing!  Hasn't worked much this year, as every time he grows he is rested to allow joints, tendons and ligaments to "catch up".  With WinningEdge his muscle tone has improved immensely, he looks "well" shinning coat and bright eyes, he is slightly calmer and takes new things in his stride.

Sir     17.1hh     11 yr old    TBxID

Ez has had Sir since he was 6 months old and has watched him mature into a stunning horse.  Unfortunately he has not reached his full potential as he has been prone to injury.  Since starting WinningEdge his muscle tone has improved, he has more concentration and a more focused toward going manner.*

He is a known shiverer, but seems to have less "shake" in his back legs.  He also tends to lose weight very easily.  Can be a fussy eater, but won't eat extra food to maintain weight.  We have noticed that he now actually calls for his feed with WinningEdge in it, and requires far less weight maintaining diet.

*Sir did have a huge problem with jumping ditches, but last week went XC schooling and jumped eight different ditches without thinking about it.

B – Exotic Hawk   17 hh     11 yr old   TB Mare

Alpha mare who knows her own mind.  Has come back into work after having had 2 foals.  Now has a much better attitude to work, but still sometimes knows best!

Great muscle tone, wouldn't think she has had foals, fantastic coat and shine.  More willing to work with us despite her aloof character.

H – Hawk on High     15.1hh     3yr old     TB Colt (son of B)

Had a bad start as a yearling, nearly died from an outbreak of badly controlled strangles on the yard we were on at the time.  His growth has been stunted by this, and we have allowed him as much time to develop mentally and physically before bringing him into work.

Since starting WinningEdge he has grown, and continues to do so, his muscles are well developed, thick glossy coat.

He has a wonderful attitude to life, and is very easy to handle.  People do not realise he is a colt.  He is now working well on lunge, long lines, and I have just stated to back him.  He now seems mentally ready for this, before WinningEdge he wasn't.

Spec – Ballynoe Spec     16.3hh     15 yr old    Irish Sport Horse

My 15 yr old daughters "grumpy old man" – school master eventer.

Spec was taking a lot of feeding to maintain enough energy to do his job.  A horse with temble feet and poor tail (have known of this horse for 7 years and has always looked "slightly poor").  He also had issues with hard ground at the beginning of the event season and was on a multitude of additives for feet, tendons, respiratory system.

Since WinningEdge his feet have improved hugely, can now keep shoes on for more that 4 – 5 weeks!  He has a shinning tail instead of a whisp!  He is now enjoying work and his dressage is improving (was his bug bear, worst phase for eventing), marks are getting better on each outing.  Is now less grumpy and more lovable!

Sugar – Mismatch     14hh     9 yr old     Heinz 57!!

Fondly known as "the witch" by my 12 yr old daughter.  A talented pony, but can be nappy and difficult!  On WinningEdge is now more compliant, forward thinking and at times helpful – a real turn around!  Is maintaining an ideal weight on very little feed and hay.

M – Misred     15.1hh     6 yr old    TB Chestnut Mare

My mixed up sensitive typical chestnut mare!

Initially very stressy, put a roller on her she would be down!

Before I started WinningEdge M was a handful, she had got over her initial problems but it was always difficult to tack her up, she really wanted to trust and work with you, but found life hard.  We had started competing locally, but you were never sure if you would stay in the saddle.

Since WinningEdge M now trusts people around her.  She has never been nasty but has found contact with new humans difficult.  She is now easy to shoe, and the dentist was able to treat her without sedation.  She now works very well when competing and her dressage marks are improving with each outing.  She has more confidence and has become a very loving much happier horse.
