Saving money story at bottom

Jordanna Morrish age 12 years

Jordanna began riding when she was 2 years old.  By the time she was 3 she was competing in BSPS lead rein classes.  Jordanna won all her classes and was mini champion at every show in Devon and Cornwall, and won the home produced lead rein at the Winter Championships in Lancashire and also qualified for the Royal International Horse Show.  Jordanna started jumping when she was 5 years old, and was winning unaffiliated classes when she was six.  At 7 Jordanna was competing in BSJA affiliated under 11's, and gained many joint 1sts on several different ponies.

Jordanna competed in her first one day event aged 8.  She has gained many places in ODE's. And has also represented the Four Burrow Pony Club in area Tetrathlons, ODE's, show jumping and dressage.

With much hard work and dedication she has had to produce all her own ponies, and has also broken and backed a few.

Now aged 12 Jordanna still competes BSJA, and has qualified Glencroft Rocky for the discovery finals, and the second round British novice.  She has also qualified Cuffesgrange Z, for the JC/JD finals at the Royal Bath & West.  Jordanna has started BE Eventing this year with both of these ponies.  Cuffesgrange Z has problems concentrating on his dressage, and we have recently started him on WinningEdge Gold.  He already seems to be concentrating much more.

Glencroft Rocky is a registered Connemara and will be competing at Devon County, Royal Cornwall and the Royal Bath and West shows, in Mountain and Moorland classes, in addition to his BSJA and Eventing tasks.  We are about to start him on WinningEdge Gold, to help with his stamina, muscle build up etc.  We also use WinningEdge Gold to help with the ponies immune systems, as they are stabled away so often.

Jordanna and I bought a 4 year old 15.2 warm blood gelding last November who was just broken.  Waldo is a lovely character, but was becoming rather stressy when asked a question.  Now he is on Cool Calm and Collected, he is like a lamb, and can cope easily with all the new questions being asked of him.  Also his coat and feet are in incredible condition.  Waldo is still being educated on the flat so probably won't start competing until next year, when he will definitely be on WinningEdge Gold!

As you have read these ponies lead very varied lives, and we wish we had heard of EquiFeast products a long time ago, this would have prevented many headaches, and numerous products that we have tried in the past!!!

Editor's note: Carole has been so delighted with the effect of these products on Jordanna's ponies that she has started retailing them in Cornwall for us!

Update:

Hi Malcolm

Just to let you know that Fred (Cuffesgrange Z) whom I put on the WinningEdge Gold Loader, about 3 weeks ago, did his best dressage to date. In fact it was a very good test, although the mark didnt reflect it. Fred was much more relaxed, and even stretched in his free walk, which he would never do before. They did have an unlucky pole down in the show jumping, but stormed around the cross country with a clear round, and inside the time by 7 seconds. This was a great result for their first pre-novice. Another thing we have noticed with Fred is he is much more relaxed in traffic. A couple of years ago we were almost run over by a speeding dustbin lorry, and since then Fred has been afraid of anything larger than a car. Since being on WinningEdge Gold, he has been increasingly better, and last week a coach went past he didnt even flinch!

Many thanks

Carole

Update2

Hi Malcolm,

A quick update on Fred (Cuffesgrange z) . Jordanna and Fred competed in the 1.20 junior open sj at the Royal Cornwall show on saturday. This was the biggest course they had ever jumped. It was up to height and the spreads were huge. They had the 2nd fence down, but after that they were clear. Normally Fred may have worried about knocking a fence, and could have had another one or two. This time he remained calm, and started listening to Jordanna. It was a rather emotional time for us, because Fred had an hock injury last year, and we were told he may never compete again, and to see him and Jordanna jump this height of course, and be placed 7th at the Royal Cornwall show was fantastic.

Not only has Fred improved in his dressage and show jumping since being on WinningEdge Gold, but when he was shod 6 weeks ago my farrier said his feet were quite dry. He shod Fred today, and said how much his feet had improved, and they were in great condition. I have also been able to reduce by feed bill, because of the condition they are in since being on WinningEdge Gold.

Many thanks

Carole Morrish
