Whether you hack on roads or in the countryside or you compete at pony club or on the International scene you are taking part in a risky sport. Horses are unpredictable and their judgment is sometimes lacking. Over the past three years we have have been selling Cool, Calm and Collected and its derivative products (Sensible Essentials, Mare Essentials and WINNINGEDGE) we have learned just how much we can improve the judgement of horses reducing spookiness but, more importantly making them safer! In competition how many falls occur because the horse has not been able to judge precisely enough how to get over the fence? Harry Meade reports that his horse Midnight Dazzler has shown enormous improvements in judgement over fences. This must make him a safer ride - especially as he has had the best in the world on the floor twice across country! How do we achieve this without sedating the horse? The traditional view is that horses are nervous and spooky simply because they are a prey animal. Under this theory it is claimed that horses should
run from anything that looks like danger. However many horses run from a flapping leaf! This is not a survival oriented behaviour as avoiding the leaf risks taking the panicked horse right into the path of a predator. What is
survivally sensible is a horse that is able to quickly and efficiently assess risk. The 'brain food' technology we put into the products listed above enables the brain to do exactly that. Over a period of time they become less
distracted, have better concentration and show improved judgement. The risks out hacking reduce enormously and the ability to jump safely (and well) improves. Lots of the stories in our If you get nervous when riding your 'predictably
unpredictable horse' give us a ring and tell us all about it. We will happily suggest the most economical and effective products for you to try. Tel 0845 230 1086
